For those that love minimal beats and glitchy grooves, this will ripple right up your alley -

chipPad is a multi-track sample and loop playback and performance application.

It is made for the musician who creates loop-based music and is looking to experiment with on-the-fly arrangements or to glitch it up a notch.

chipPad comes with a few sample sessions to get you started. Simply select Help from the Gear menu to get started or load your own AIF or WAV audio files into the app using File Sharing via iTunes.

More detailed help available in the app.

Pianist Pro adds wireless MIDI support

Posted by Mikers On April - 22 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

The team at MooCowMusic have just let us in on what to expect from the next update due to appear in the coming days.

Utilising OSC support and a wireless network, Pianist Pro can now be used to control a number of different music/audio software applications, plus any MIDI keyboards and sound modules.

Check the video below to see it action….

Simply brilliant we say! Here’s what they said……

We’ve added OSC support so that you can use your iPad to control your DAW or hardware synths wirelessly.  All you need to do is install a simple (and free) application called “Pure Data”  onto a PC / Mac on the same wireless network as your iPad, and use the provided patch to convert the OSC messages sent by Pianist Pro into MIDI messages.  Those MIDI messages can be recorded on your DAW, and control soft or hardware synthesisers.  Pure Data patches are easily configured to suit your setup.   Play your digital piano from your sofa, or even from another room!

We’ve had a quick play with the LE version of this app, and the sounds are spot on, although the interface could use some dressing up. Fans of the vintage TR 909 will love it!

This App is ’909 sound’ rhythm pads of the house music orders who thought only about the hitting. I reduced a function daringly to make a response better. (There is even no volume adjustment. )

Installed sound:
Bass Drum 1-2, Snare Drum 1-2, Hi-Hat(close), Hi-Hat(open),Hi-Tom,Mid-Tom,Lo-Tom,Hand Clap

A function unlike iTR-909

*Write and Play of simple drum pattern. (Only as for of 1 bar.)
*Re-sampled a sound newly.
*Made a sound a stereo.

Through an undying passion for drum related apps, I feel the need to mention this new one even though it’s a little, how you say, lacking in any real features or originality!

This app simulate famous Electric Drums part2.
The sound inspired by the SDS5.
I heard the fast time in my younger days.
In the Album “On the line” Lee Ritenour.
You can play like Harvey Mason, Bill Bruford.

We develop more and more drum app, like TR505 or TRX etc.

Please enjoy it.
