Remix video game tunes for FREE

iZotope continue to impress us with the amazing sound processing tools they continue to produce, and we’re also a fan of their growing library of iDrum apps. At last count there were around a dozen different musical style and artists covered, and although this fun, 8-bit video game themed version has been out for over a year, if you don’t have it already, now is the time to pick it up as all this month the app is FREE. Yes FREE!

We encourage you to check out the others too, as there is likely to be something else there that appeals as well.

Video game sounds generator!

Posted by Mikers On September - 5 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Aussie based developer, Smoco, has just released one of our favourite apps so far this year! Retro Sound Generator isn’t limited to just video game sound, but that’s certainly what it will be immediately suited to. Even if it wasn’t FREE, we would still give it a huge wrap! Looking forward to seeing what these guys add in the future!!….

Retro Sound Studio is a synthesiser application for the iPad that is aimed at creating retro electronic sounds reminiscent of 80′s arcade games. It is intended to be used by game developers to create sounds for their games or by music producers as a sample source, particularly for producers working in dance music genres such as tech house and electro.

Saved sounds can be accessed by using iTunes. Select the device, then go to the Apps tab and finally select Retro Sound Studio under File Sharing.
